1,146 New Covid-19 cases, 21 deaths reported today

In the last 24 hours, Covid-19 infection has been confirmed in 1,146 more people across the country. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 961 people were tested for PCR in 8,549 samples and 185 people tested positive for corona in 2,367 samples.

In the last 24 hours, 21 people have died from corona infection and 1,660 have been cleared of the infection.

With the new additions, the total number of corona infections in Nepal has reached 861,952. Of them, 736,666 have been cured and 10,924 have died so far.

Of the actively infected people across the country, 26,296 are in home isolation and 1,662 are in institutional isolation. Of the corona patients, 458 are being treated in the ICU and 145 in the ventilator.

Of the infected people added in the last 24 hours, 354 are from Kathmandu Valley. According to the ministry, 280 people have been infected in Province 1, 31 in Province 2, 434 in Bagmati, and 122 in Gandaki. Similarly, 71 cases of coronavirus have been reported in Lumbini, 15 in Karnali, and eight more in the far-western states.
