Indian smugglers pelted stones at a patrol team of the Armed Police Force (APF) at Dodhara Chandni Municipality-7 last night. 

An armed policeman has been injured in the attack. The condition of the injured youth is normal. The injured youth has sustained hand and arm injuries.

According to Superintendent of Police Birendra Bahadur Air of Armed Police Force No. 35 Battalion Shaileshwari Jhalari, seven to eight smugglers on motorcycles pelted stones near the border. He said that the smugglers brought stones from India and fled after being stoned by the patrol team.

“Indian police have promised to search for the group of stone-throwers on patrol and take action,” he said. The incident took place at 10:30 pm.
