Bhadrapur to Pokhara Direct flights promotions underway

With the start of direct flights between Bhadrapur and Pokhara, initiatives to promote the region as a tourism destination have begun.

The tourism industry in the nation would prosper, according to Pokhara’s mayor Dhanraj Acharya, if both domestic and foreign travelers are welcomed.

He emphasized the importance of giving special attention to the preservation and development of Nepal’s natural beauty, indigenous skills, lifestyle, costumes, art, and culture since they are the main draws for foreign visitors to the nation.

The 18 to 24 hour journey by land is now only an hour, according to Hareram Adhikari, president of NATTA Koshi Province, which might help boost tourism in both regions.

The two provinces’ tourist destinations should be promoted using this.

The mayor of Birtamod Municipality, Pabitra Mahatara Prasai, the chair of Kachankewal Rural Municipality, Kalendra Prasad Singh Rajbansi, the chair of Rong Rural Municipality of Ilam, and other speakers called for funding to upgrade the fundamental infrastructure leading to the tourist destinations in the Koshi province.

Media representatives from the Koshi and Gandaki provinces stressed the importance of ensuring that the potential tourism locations in the two provinces have access to basic infrastructure including roads, drinking water, and transportation services.

It should be mentioned that as of March 9, a private firm called Buddha Airlines has started offering direct flights to and from Bhadrapur to Pokhara.

The hour-and-ten-minute flight is anticipated to enhance the number of domestic visitors as well as visitors from Bangladesh and India, two nearby countries, to the lake city of Pokhara.
