New Delhi. ‘Jeevanmrityu’, ‘Daag’, ‘Blackmail’, ‘Kabhi Kabhie’, ’27 Down’ ‘Tapasya’, ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’, ‘Shakti’, ‘Kaala Patthar’, ‘Shaan’, ‘Karan-Arjun Rakhi has many superhit films like ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Khalnayak’ and ‘Border’ in her credit. For three decades, Rakhi (Rakhee Gulzar) made her own identity in Bollywood in the role of sometimes girlfriend, sometimes secretary and sometimes mother. Now she is living alone with nature in her farmhouse in Panvel, away from the glare of the film world. It is not that Rakhi did not love, marry and have children, but there was nothing but loneliness in her fate. At the age of 16, he got married for the first time and the relationship lasted only for two years. For the second time, he linked his relationship with Gulzar, but the relationship came to a painful end as soon as the daughter was born.
First marriage at the age of 16
Born in Ranaghat, West Bengal, Rakhi was not even 16 when she married journalist and filmmaker Ajoy Biswas. His first marriage took place in 1963 with the approval of the family. However, her marriage with Ajay could not last even for 2 years and in 1965 the two separated. But while in a relationship with Ajay, Rakhi turned towards films. She made her Bollywood debut in the year 1970 with the film ‘Jeevan Aur Mrityu’ and her opposite Dharmendra was in this film. In the next three years, Rakhi did more than one film in Bollywood. In the year 1973, she also received the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for Yash Chopra’s film ‘Daag’.
Married again at the age of 26 and successful career
Rakhi is considered to be moody in Bollywood. Rakhi, who has always done unconventional roles, has always been unique in her personal life. In the year 1973, she got a marriage proposal from Gulzar. The couple got married on 15 May 1973. Daughter Meghna Gulzar was born to them on 13 December this year. But by December 1974, Rakhi and Gulzar parted ways.

Suchitra Sen became the reason for separation
Yash Chopra wanted to make the film with ‘Kabhi Kabhi’. He clearly told Rakhi that this film has been written keeping her in mind and Sahir Ludhianvi has brought out her beauty in the songs of the films. At that time Gulzar was busy shooting for the film ‘Aandhi’. Suchitra Sen and Sanjeev Kumar were in the lead roles in this film. Rakhi reached Kashmir to take Gulzar’s consent for the film. At that time Yash Chopra was also in Kashmir to see the location of the film. After reaching the sets of the film ‘Aandhi’, Rakhi felt that some khichdi was brewing between Suchitra Sen and Gulzar.

When Gulzar raised his hand on Rakhi
One evening on the sets of the film ‘Aandhi’, the entire cast and crew were sitting together. During this Sanjeev Kumar was quite drunk. When actress Suchitra Sen wanted to go towards her room, Sanjeev Kumar stopped her by holding her hand. Suchitra became very angry with Sanjeev’s action. Then Gulzar had to intervene to rectify the situation and took Sen to his room.

When Gulzar returned to his room after dropping off Suchitra Sen, Rakhi questioned him as to why he had gone to her room to drop off the actress. Gulzar was annoyed to ask Rakhi’s question and he raised his hand on Rakhi. Rakhi was badly broken by this incident and took an immediate decision to sign films.
Please tell that before marriage, there was an agreement between Gulzar and Rakhi that the actress would stop doing films. When she had a fight with Gulzar, Rakhi changed her decision and returned to the silver screen by signing a lot of films.
