Top leaders of the Nepali Congress are engaged in discussions. Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba, senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and former general secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula are engaged in the discussion.

Earlier, a meeting of the office-bearers held on Thursday had decided to resolve the dispute with the leadership.

There is a dispute in the Congress over the new active members in Bara and Saptari. Similarly, there are disputes in about 100 wards including some wards of Dhanusha, Sarlahi, Sindhupalchowk, and Rasuwa.
The ward convention on July 27 has been postponed due to the inability to resolve the dispute.
