She says, ‘I remember once I went to Vihaan’s school and a mother came to me and said that I feel very good, because I have resigned from the post of CEO of the company. I asked – what happened? She says- they will get another CEO, but my child will not get another mother, this immediately filled me with guilt.

She further says, ‘I regret doing my work. Vihaan was then 6-7 years old and I was working in ‘Manto’. I was going to start my shoot and I started feeling bad. Nandita realized that children should see their mother working. If they do, they will respect their dreams, values and ambitions.

Nandita says that if a child is brought up in an environment where their mother is a working woman, they are more likely to have good relationships with other women. Single parenting is definitely difficult, but it also has some advantages. He has a strong bond with his son and the two go on walks together. She finally says, ‘Single parenting is difficult, because you have to do everything yourself, especially when you are a working woman and live in regret.’
